The National Churchill Museum at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri recently unveiled “Sinews of Peace: The Power of Prose.” The new exhibit focuses on Winston Churchill’s “Sinews of Peace” speech, more widely known as the “Iron Curtain” speech. The exhibit celebrates the 70th anniversary of the speech, which Churchill delivered at Westminster College on March 5, 1946. The centerpiece of the exhibit is a draft of the speech that includes Churchill’s final edits. It also includes rare audio recordings and film footage, and historic documents never before displayed for the public. The exhibit will have an open-ended run.
